Description

You will manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of copper and fiber optic cabling systems within healthcare facilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling, including structured cabling like Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A.
• Maintain critical communication technologies including Overhead Paging (OHP), 800MHz Radio, and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
• Support data center and IDF infrastructure, including rack layouts, cabinet design, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Draft Statements of Work (SoWs), RFPs, and RFQs for contractor bids and project execution.
• Manage 811 utility locate requests and ensure underground work meets safety and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on telecommunications infrastructure experience.
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ANSI/TIA, IEEE, and BICSI standards.
• Proficiency with OTDRs, Fluke DSX-8000 (DS800), and fiber inspection scopes.
• Experience configuring Layer 1 and Layer 2 systems, including IP paging, UPS, and PDU equipment.
• Technical documentation skills using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio.
• Ability to develop cost estimates and support IT project budgeting for low-voltage infrastructure.
• At least two of the following: BICSI Technician, BICSI Fiber Optic, OTDR CPRI, CompTIA, or Panduit certifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in healthcare or high-compliance data center environments.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric StructureWare, Informacast, or DCIM platforms.
