You will manage and optimize complex database environments, focusing on DB2 UDB while leveraging multi-platform expertise.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and tune DB2 UDB, Oracle, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and/or Cassandra environments.
• Execute database migrations, including partitioned database management and utility operations like reorg, runstats, and bind.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Terraform to reduce manual administrative tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve cross-tier issues spanning application, network, database, server, and storage layers.
• Implement cloud deployments and database monitoring strategies using AWS services and tools like IBM Data Studio.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of UDB DBA experience with deep expertise in DB2 UDB.
• Proficiency in SQL coding, tuning, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, specifically AWS database deployments.
• Strong shell scripting and automation skills using cron, jobs, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as SCCM, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Experience with multi-platform databases including Oracle, Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating UDB databases to cloud or hybrid environments.
• Background in developing training or upskilling programs for database technologies.
