You will be responsible for building the technical bridge between the PUC’s public-facing websites and our payment processing architecture. Your work will focus on building robust APIs, ensuring strict adherence to financial security standards, and modernizing our legacy integration workflows.
System Design & Development: Architect and build a web-based eCheck (ACH) payment module and supporting backend services/APIs.
Integration: Seamlessly integrate the new solution with existing enterprise and legacy systems while ensuring reliable, scalable transaction processing.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with PCI-DSS, NACHA guidelines, and data protection requirements for a highly regulated environment.
UI/UX Excellence: Design and implement customer-facing payment interfaces that are responsive, accessible, and follow modern usability guidelines.
Migration & DevOps: Lead the migration of code from TFS to Azure DevOps (ADO) with Git; manage CI/CD pipelines and work item tracking.
Production Support: Troubleshoot payment workflows, optimize system performance, and provide ongoing maintenance and production support.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Software Development: 5+ years of experience in system integration and software development.
Payment Systems: Proven experience building secure transaction-based systems (ACH/eCheck preferred), including encryption and banking workflows.
Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Java or .NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, front-end frameworks, and API development (REST/SOAP).
Azure & Tools: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, API Management) and Azure DevOps (ADO).
Migration Expertise: Demonstrated ability to migrate code from TFS to Git-based repositories.
Database Skills: Experience with relational databases and data modeling.
Industry Background: Experience in government, utilities, or other highly regulated environments.
