Description

You will own the integration and performance testing of Comcast deployed Wi-Fi Gateways, extenders, home security devices, and managed Wi-Fi clients.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for Wi-Fi products.
• Define product functionality and requirements by collaborating with product managers and development engineers.
• Create, maintain, and evolve test plans and automation alongside QA, software, and product engineers.
• Troubleshoot and actively participate in issue triage across the testing lifecycle.
• Document testing processes clearly and communicate status effectively to peers and management.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of technical experience working directly with Wi-Fi/RF in computer architecture and data communications.
• Experience with Wireless technology testing including APs, Routers, Extenders, and 802.11 standards (b/g/n/ac/ax/be).
• Strong background in designing or extending existing test frameworks.
• Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for analysis and automation.
• Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, and Switching.
• Familiarity with industry Wi-Fi test tools like Veriwave, IXIA Chariot, and packet debuggers (Wireshark, Omnipeek).
• Technical background in secondary home networking technologies: Bluetooth, Zigbee, MoCA, Matter, and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment.
• Familiarity with RF chambers: Octoscope, Lindgren, Candela testbeds.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
