Description

Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments and SQL Server databases within a secure government network framework.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage system backups, restores, and monitoring to ensure high availability and data integrity.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and implement AF Maintenance Tasking Orders (MTOs), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNOs), and Cyber Control Orders (CCOs).
• Maintain server operating systems through regular patching, security updates, and hardware/software configurations to DoD specifications.
• Monitor and manage SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, security, and optimal data access.
• Document system changes, maintain configuration control, and prepare Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of technical experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.
• 2+ years of technical experience using PowerShell or government-approved command line tools.
• Hands-on experience managing and monitoring SQL Server databases.
• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of NIPR/SIPR vulnerability thresholds and ACAS findings remediation.
• Ability to manage configuration control documentation and compliance reporting.
• Experience assisting with cloud environment migration and sustainment.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
