Description

You will architect and maintain reliability for high-availability telecom OSS/BSS systems, spanning IBM Mainframe z/OS and midrange Linux/Solaris platforms. You will own the reliability strategy, driving SLO/SLI definitions, error budget management, and continuous improvement of MTTR and MTTD.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design reliability architectures for resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability across hybrid environments.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and AIOps solutions using Splunk, Dynatrace, and NetCool.
• Drive automation and self-healing practices, ensuring CI/CD reliability and operational excellence.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and performance diagnostics for production systems.
• Optimize telecom workflows including provisioning, order management, and service assurance.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT or telecom environments.
• 8+ years of architecture experience on IBM Mainframe z/OS and midrange platforms (Linux/Solaris).
• Deep knowledge of Ericsson Telcordia OSS applications (SWITCH, TIRKS, FACS, WFA, SOAC).
• Hands-on expertise with z/OS internals, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and performance diagnostics.
• Proven expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SLO, SLI, error budget management).
• Strong background in observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Instana, NetCool).
• Experience with automation, self-healing systems, and CI/CD reliability practices.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of telecom processes including provisioning, order management, and activation.
• Experience driving MTTD/MTTR improvements across large-scale production systems.
