Description

Design and manage microservices architecture for retail web applications on AWS. Own infrastructure automation and drive development of new features for the cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Manage production environments on AWS or similar cloud PaaS layers for enterprise ecommerce and mobile platforms.
• Implement high availability strategies including GeoDNS, Global Traffic Management, and multi-datacenter failover architectures.
• Support the Agile Software Development Lifecycle through monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and AWS platforms.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and Unix services (NFS, NTP, Apache, nginx).
• Strong programming skills in Java, Objective-C, Android, and C.
• Experience with automation and provisioning frameworks like Chef or Puppet.
• Competency in scripting languages including Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, or PHP.
• Knowledge of containerization and build automation using Kubernetes and Jenkins.
• Experience managing large-scale databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with caching strategies using Redis, Memcached, or Varnish.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring stacks like ELK, SumoLogic, Nagios, or Graphite.
• Knowledge of performance analysis tools such as NewRelic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
