Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale systems with hundreds of servers and thousands of services, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-production environments using a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Monitor capacity for databases, services, market data, and quotas.
• Optimize database performance through query plan analysis and code, database, and configuration tuning.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including queue replication and distributed database management.
• Troubleshoot operating system, memory, and infrastructure issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in site reliability or systems engineering.
• Proficiency with AIX, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, and MySQL.
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerization experience using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Scripting and programming skills in Python, Shell, SQL, or Java.
• Monitoring expertise using Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, BigPanda, or PagerDuty.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed database management and queue replication.
