Description

You will own the reliability, availability, and performance of our Kubernetes-based distributed systems across AWS and GCP. You will architect observability platforms, automate incident response, and drive infrastructure-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain highly available systems in Kubernetes environments, preferring GKE.
• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to measure system reliability.
• Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate postmortem sessions.
• Architect and operate observability platforms for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Develop automation tools using Python to improve system reliability and performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Strong proficiency in Python for automation and tooling development.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Expertise in ELK stack for logging and search.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing architecture decisions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Packer, Cribl, Vectors, or Alertmanager.
