Description

You will provide high-level technical support and system reliability for production environments, working closely with trading desks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system status and respond immediately to alerts or user queries.
• Diagnose bugs, identify root causes, and manage significant system outages by directing development and infrastructure teams.
• Plan new releases and deployments in collaboration with development teams.
• Interface daily with Front Office and Middle Office users to build strong relationships.
• Execute projects to improve system availability, stability, and performance through capacity analysis and failover dry runs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in front-line system support and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, remote server access, and standard UNIX command line tools.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS systems such as Sybase or Postgres.
• Ability to use SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the finance industry, specifically equities sales and trading.
• Ability to review source code in Java, C++, or Python to diagnose issues.
• Understanding of FIX protocols, reference data, and market data.
