Description

You will own production management, incident response, and system reliability for client-facing applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage production services, including systems monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Diagnose application issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to eliminate customer impact.
• Build and maintain extensive business and application knowledge to support end-user requirements.
• Implement automation to reduce toil and configure customized monitoring solutions using industry-standard tools.
• Act as the primary escalation point between development teams and business units, managing outage communications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or production operations.
• Strong coding and scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, or Shell.
• Deep understanding of database concepts, SQL queries, and database performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys.
• Solid grasp of infrastructure (Windows/Unix) and networking protocols.
• Experience supporting highly distributed, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD and configuration management tools like Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with observability stacks including Splunk, Prometheus, Loki, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and enterprise monitoring tools like AppDynamics.
