Description

You will serve as a core member of the SRE support team, ensuring the resiliency, performance, and availability of Digital Sales & Marketing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain platform health and resiliency by writing code, developing test cases, and working with API specifications.
• Represent platform engineering during production outages and collaborate with stakeholders to derive RCAs and permanent resolutions.
• Identify opportunities to remove toil and drive efficiency through automation and new technology adoption.
• Monitor application performance using APM tools and create dashboards to track SLAs and SLOs.
• Collaborate across engineering functions, including Security, Networking, and Infrastructure, to mitigate platform risks.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering or production support/SRE experience.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Python and Shell Scripting.
• Hands-on work with Kafka, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure.
• Expertise in distributed systems, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of APM tools including Splunk, GCL, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• Experience with container orchestration and resource management like Kubernetes, OpenShift, or PCF.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible and YAML.
• Ability to work on shift duty in a 12/7 support organization.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, or UCD.
• Exposure to caching tools like Redis or memcache.
