Description

You will build and manage monitoring systems across shared platforms as a Datadog Subject Matter Expert.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Establish monitoring, tracing, logging, and alerting frameworks for shared platforms.
• Define SLAs and SLOs and implement monitoring to ensure availability targets are met.
• Implement Datadog from scratch to support organizational monitoring needs.
• Develop tools and workflows using infrastructure as code and CI/CD to promote reliability.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and developers to improve operational stability.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience specifically with Datadog as the primary application monitoring tool.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash or shell scripting.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience configuring and administering CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments.
• Understanding of the end-to-end application development lifecycle from code commit to production.
• Ability to write technical documentation and architectural diagrams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dynatrace monitoring tools.
