Description

You will own operational efficiency and system stability for Java-based applications and supporting services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Prevent on-call incidents through proactive system improvements and independent reviews.
• Improve developer incident response times and tooling.
• Enhance monitoring and alerting for web services and business workflows.
• Prevent bugs by implementing automation, tooling, and SDLC improvements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles.
• Strong Java development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Aurora, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, SQS, and S3.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Spinnaker for deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency with DataDog for APM, dashboards, custom metrics, monitors, and logging.
• Degree in any field of study.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Scala and Node.js.
