Description

You will own the stability testing and risk assessment for new consumer hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute system stability tests focusing on hardware-centric software risks.
• Design and write automated stress tests for embedded systems on-the-fly.
• Manage a rack of systems to run various tests and engineering experiments.
• Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs using debugging and performance analysis tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and QA teams to support investigations and identify risk areas.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in HW/SW test engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of processor instruction set architecture and microarchitecture.
• Experience working with pre- or post-silicon hardware.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware systems to the component level and perform root-cause analysis.
• Experience executing and troubleshooting low-level and user-level UI automation.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Swift, or JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Unix and Unix shell scripting.
• Proven ability to present data to executives and maintain inter-departmental relationships.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with factory processes such as burn-in qualification.
• Experience developing and maintaining Python scripts.
• Experience building advanced reporting tools like Tableau.
