Description

You will lead the design and maintenance of scalable, global Kafka architectures and cloud-native infrastructure platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable Kafka solutions using KRaft, Strimzi, and ZooKeeper, including leader election and coordination.
• Automate the full lifecycle of platform components from provisioning to decommissioning using self-service IaC workflows.
• Build cloud-native CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to increase developer autonomy and productivity.
• Implement observability frameworks to monitor infrastructure health, utilization, and cost.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and driving engineering excellence.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems in highly available production environments.
• 5+ years of experience building infrastructure platforms and CI/CD pipelines on GCP.
• Deep expertise in the Kafka ecosystem, including KRaft, Strimzi, ZooKeeper, brokers, producers, consumers, and connectors.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystems, including Docker, Helm, Pulumi, ServiceMesh, and ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go.
• Experience with observability tools such as ELK, Fluentd, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
