You will lead DC power design for ThinkSystem server development in Bangalore.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own all development engineering aspects of DC power design, from concept to production.
• Perform spec reviews, technology comparisons, and vendor selection to recommend optimal power solutions.
• Guide vendors to adhere to Lenovo processes and product specifications during design development.
• Conduct detailed design reviews and generate validation guidance and test plans to ensure qualification.
• Assess new power design technologies and perform market research to support critical decision-making.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of in-depth experience in x86 architecture and hardware design.
• 5+ years of experience with power design tools, physical design support, and high-level hardware validation.
• Strong background in server-related power design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (BASH, Perl, Python, LabVIEW, Windows PowerShell).
• Experience engaging with engineering teams across multiple geographies.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Direct experience in DC power circuit design, simulation, and validation.
• Business acumen to engage cross-functional teams and drive projects from concept to production.
