Roles and Responsibilities:

• Research, design, implement, test, and release new database features and enhancements.
• Write high-quality, production-ready C/C++ code with strong test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture evaluations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve correctness, stability, and performance issues in distributed query execution.
• Identify and implement performance optimization techniques, including batching, parallelism, and distributed execution.
• Drive scalability initiatives to support increasing cluster size and higher transaction throughput.
• Collaborate closely with open-source contributors and internal cross-functional teams to influence the database roadmap.
• Maintain a strong understanding of system architecture, algorithms, and low-level performance characteristics.

Skills Required:

• Strong programming expertise in C++ / C
• Deep understanding of system architecture and system design
• Experience with database internals or distributed systems
• Familiarity with database storage engines, indexing, or query execution
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or relational database concepts is an advantage
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, including experience with performance profiling tools

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
