Description

You will own the design, implementation, and release of new database features for a distributed system.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement high-quality, production-ready C/C++ code with strong test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve correctness, stability, and performance issues in distributed query execution.
• Identify and implement performance optimization techniques, including batching, parallelism, and distributed execution.
• Drive scalability initiatives to support increasing cluster size and higher transaction throughput.
• Collaborate with open-source contributors and internal teams to influence the database roadmap.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of strong programming expertise in C++ or C.
• Deep understanding of system architecture and system design.
• Experience with database internals or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with database storage engines, indexing, or query execution.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or relational database concepts.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, including experience with performance profiling tools.
• Experience maintaining a strong understanding of algorithms and low-level performance characteristics.
