Description

Design, build, and maintain production-ready Java backend services and microservices architectures on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement features and deliver production-grade Java code with strong engineering standards.
• Design, document, and maintain system diagrams, technical documentation, and incident reports.
• Drive performance optimizations by monitoring runtime metrics and implementing improvements.
• Provide technical insights during agile planning, feasibility analysis, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Conduct peer code reviews and create proof-of-concepts to validate technical approaches.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in software development with Java and backend systems.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring/Spring Boot for building backend services and APIs.
• Proven experience in microservices architecture, system design, and system architecture ownership.
• Cloud engineering experience with AWS for deploying and operating services.
• Production engineering practices including scalability, reliability, and troubleshooting of transactional systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and environment management.
• Experience with Tomcat application server.
• Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and operations.
