Description

Lead backend engineering efforts and design scalable distributed systems as a high-impact individual contributor.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices and real-time or batch APIs using Python frameworks.
• Lead backend architecture for distributed systems and data platforms.
• Build ETL and data pipelines using Kafka, Airflow, and Step Functions.
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS using Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in backend or data engineering.
• Expertise in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
• Strong proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience building data pipelines with Kafka and Airflow.
• Deep understanding of system design, caching, and messaging via Kafka or Redis.
• Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills
