Description

Lead the design and development of an integrated search platform using Java.

You will own the core architecture, build distributed components, and drive technical direction for large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core search platform components in Java.
• Contribute to open source projects, specifically MongoDB and Lucene.
• Shape the system's technological future through product and architecture discussions.
• Perform code reviews and recommend improvements to software development processes.
• Coordinate complex changes with cloud services, database, and enterprise tool teams.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience developing distributed systems, cloud services, and SaaS products.
• Strong expertise in Java.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Ability to envision and implement architecture for complex systems.
• Proven track record of working on large-scale technical projects.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and maintaining search platforms or distributed databases.
• Experience debugging and profiling multithreaded JVM applications and distributed applications.
