You will own the technical strategy and platform health for Asia-Pacific markets.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology strategy to align systems with long-term goals.
• Design and maintain secure, cost-effective, and scalable web-scale architectures.
• Coach and mentor engineers to grow technical capabilities and ensure accountability.
• Drive cross-team collaboration to deliver customer value and improve software delivery practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years leading diverse software engineering teams.
• Strong experience building and maintaining applications with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Proven track record designing highly available and secure distributed systems.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CDK or CloudFormation, and AWS Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience creating and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines using tools like Buildkite or TeamCity.
• Competency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to write clean, testable code and implement secure coding practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting product experiments and hypothesis-driven development.
• Interest in Distributed Systems Observability, software testing, or UI Component Libraries.
• Experience setting technical practices that enable high-performing software teams.
