Description

You will lead the Cloud Engineering Team by solving complex architectural problems and driving product strategy.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Solve high-scope technical problems regarding cloud system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Partner with product management to define and execute technical and product strategies.
• Identify and resolve technical debt to improve team iteration speed and operational efficiency.
• Own large-scale features from initial concept and proposal through to production execution.
• Lead the definition and enforcement of internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices through code reviews.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of industry experience with backend and low-latency big data tech stacks.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, event-driven systems, REST APIs, and unit testing.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL data systems including Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, and Kafka.
• Experience managing the full SDLC on a major public cloud provider, specifically AWS or GCP.
• Ability to analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex architectural and organizational problems clearly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GCP in addition to AWS.
