Description

You will design and build secure C# software for manufacturing tools used in cardiac monitoring device production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document secure software systems supporting medical device manufacturing processes.
• Enforce cybersecurity best practices across the SDLC, including code reviews and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop secure interfaces between manufacturing equipment and enterprise systems.
• Guide and mentor development teams on secure coding principles and risk mitigation.
• Support compliance with FDA Premarket Cybersecurity Guidance and ISO/IEC 81001-5-1.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience (8+ years with a Master’s degree).
• Minimum 2+ years in a security-focused role implementing secure systems.
• Strong programming skills in C# or a similar modern object-oriented language.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and encryption standards.
• Experience with low-level embedded serial protocols such as UART and USB.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-series security controls.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with software QA processes in regulated environments (e.g., medical device, FAA).
• Experience with industrial network security or IT/OT system integration.
