Description

You will maintain the upstream Linux port as part of the core arm64 team, enabling new Arm architecture through kernel, firmware, and driver development.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the upstream Linux port for the core arm64 team.
• Review code on public mailing lists and upstream code for various Linux subsystems.
• Improve the performance of the upstream Linux Kernel on modern arm64 hardware.
• Investigate how new architecture features can be utilized by Linux and provide upstream support.
• Write standards-based firmware.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient C programming skills with experience writing low-level C code.
• Deep knowledge of Linux Kernel development and operating system design.
• Credible experience working in the Linux upstream community.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills

• Armv8-A Architecture and Arm64 assembly language.
• Proficiency in Linux Memory Management and Virtualisation.
