Description

Lead the design and implementation of firmware update mechanisms and embedded Linux build systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement OSTree-based firmware update mechanisms to ensure secure and reliable updates.
• Develop OSTree delta update strategies to optimize bandwidth and update speed.
• Customize Yocto/OpenEmbedded build frameworks for embedded Linux systems.
• Design and maintain modular Yocto recipes and layers for custom applications.
• Contribute to Linux Kernel internals to improve system performance and implement kernel-level features.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Expertise in OSTree-based firmware updates and delta updates.
• Proficiency with Yocto/OpenEmbedded build frameworks.
• Strong experience in Yocto recipe and layer design.
• In-depth understanding of Linux Kernel internals.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree with 6 years of experience or PhD with 3 years of experience.
