You will lead architecture decisions and mentor engineers to deliver a high-impact search experience, blending hands-on development with technical leadership.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services to meet evolving product requirements, ensuring scalable solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain Elasticsearch environments aligned with performance and reliability goals.
• Contribute across the entire product lifecycle from design and development to deployment and optimization.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance and architectural leadership.

Required Skills

• 7–10+ years of professional software development experience with a strong Computer Science foundation.
• 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies.
• Strong Golang development experience, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt Go.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate complex distributed systems and high-load services.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, performance tuning, and operational best practices.
• Proficiency in Python, PHP, JavaScript (Node.js), or Java.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Database concepts (RDBMS and NoSQL), and Networking fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Cloud certifications or hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
