Description

Define and deliver scalable technical solutions across GitHub services, owning system health and technical leadership.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test high-quality, maintainable technical solutions across multiple services.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members.
• Own system health, participate in on-call rotations, and drive incident response.
• Design and implement APIs to connect software components effectively.
• Drive technical roadmap alignment with product goals and advocate for strategic priorities.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven production experience with Go, Ruby, Rust, Python, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, or Java.
• Ability to write architecture briefs and conduct code experiments.
• Experience utilizing CI/CD tools to set up and manage automated pipelines.
• Skill in applying debugging tools and telemetry to optimize code performance.
• Experience defining success metrics and integrating customer feedback into development.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards in system architecture.
