You will manage and maintain a large-scale backup environment utilizing Starfish, on-premises, and cloud-based solutions.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Starfish backup solutions across large enterprise environments.
• Design backup strategies for multiple sites, ensuring scheduled and unscheduled backups and restorations meet requirements.
• Manage disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for large-scale environments.
• Troubleshoot backup and restore issues, acting on restore requests based on priority and resolving escalated incidents.
• Guide L1 and L2 team members and coordinate with Starfish vendors and FAC teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backup administration.
• Hands-on experience with Starfish backup implementation and management.
• Proficiency in Linux, orchestration, and scripting.
• Experience managing VM backups and restore solutions.
• Knowledge of clustered application and database server backup administration.
• Experience implementing disk-based backups for heterogeneous clients.
• Competency with ServiceNow ticketing tool.
• Ability to plan and recommend cost-effective backup solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Perform incident trend analysis and address proactive problem tickets to prevent repetitive failures.
