Description

You will manage 24x365 backup operations and ensure adherence to backup policies and schedules. You will own the release pipeline for disaster recovery and migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage available capacity across compute, storage, and network bandwidth to prevent resource delays.
• Develop and execute detailed plans for migrating services to alternative hosting locations, focusing on cloud technologies.
• Perform daily health checks on backup and replication systems to meet established SLAs.
• Implement automation for repeatable operational tasks and migration processes to reduce overhead.
• Optimize hardware infrastructure performance and manage the decommissioning and disposal of equipment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery technologies.
• Proficiency with Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Migrate.
• Hands-on experience with On-Prem backup and restore procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Virtualization and VMware environments.
• Solid understanding of Networking and Infrastructure fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows, Azure, and Linux VM-related issues.
• Ability to use PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages for automation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and System Center Suite.
• Experience with System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM).

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux and UNIX systems.
