Description

You will own the design, implementation, and operationalization of compute and platform infrastructure across private and public cloud environments. You act as the subject matter expert for storage and SAN technologies, ensuring systems are secure, automated, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy compute infrastructure using Dell PowerMax, PowerStore, and x86 servers.
• Automate system deployment and manual tasks via shell scripting and Ansible playbooks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage, network, and virtualization issues.
• Apply CIS security hardening techniques across the enterprise infrastructure.
• Operate within UK business hours to support global infrastructure needs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in storage and infrastructure engineering.
• Deep understanding of Dell PowerMax and PowerStore arrays.
• Expertise in Brocade and Cisco MDS FC switches.
• Hands-on experience with VMware or Nutanix virtualization platforms.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and creating Ansible playbooks for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Dell or IBM x86 servers.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of AWS technologies, tools, and services.
• Experience using Jira for work management and time tracking.
• Exposure to ISO27001 audits and SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS offerings.
