Description

You will own the evaluation, certification, and operational tuning of storage infrastructure, ensuring reliable services from unreliable components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product development lifecycle documentation for evaluation and certification of Brocade G-series fabric switches.
• Tune I/O and network stacks on Windows and Linux/UNIX systems to optimize performance and reliability.
• Apply SRE principles, including SLI/SLO tracking, synthetic probers, and user journey analysis.
• Manage version control and DevOps workflows using SVN and GitLab.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex storage issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in storage engineering or infrastructure operations.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux/UNIX-like operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Brocade G-series fabric switches.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, specifically SVN and GitLab.
• Understanding of hybrid cloud delivery models and data coherency.
• Knowledge of hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with block, file, or backup solutions (e.g., Dell, Hitachi, NetApp).
• Familiarity with Elastic Search and Kibana for logging and monitoring.
• Experience with hypervisors such as ESX.
