Description

You will lead the migration of global object storage clusters from Gen1 to Gen2 architectures while developing Python-based APIs and managing CEPH infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conversion of Object Storage clusters across global data centers, ensuring metadata migration and uninterrupted service.
• Design and implement solutions to transition endpoints from Gen1 to Gen2 without requiring data migration.
• Develop and maintain Python-based applications for Object Storage front-end and API functionality.
• Manage CEPH-based infrastructure and hardware configurations including Solidigm NVMe QLC storage.
• Document Gen1 system capabilities and define technical guidelines for the Gen2 upgrade process.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in storage or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python for developing storage and API solutions.
• Deep understanding of Object Storage architectures, specifically CEPH or similar distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tools including Cilium, Istio, Argo, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with bare-metal hardware and Solidigm NVMe QLC storage solutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
