Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Storeroom Attendant to support daily warehouse and inventory operations at a customer facility in North Charleston, SC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, stocking, issuing, organizing, and counting inventory while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of temp-to-hire for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, unload, inspect, and put away incoming products, tools, materials, and equipment.

Check shipments for damage and discrepancies against invoices.

Sort, label, move, and store inventory accurately.

Issue parts, materials, tools, and equipment to employees and maintain accurate records.

Maintain inventory records using computerized systems.

Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Identify and report damaged, missing, or misplaced items.

Prepare inventory reports and maintain perpetual inventory records.

Request replenishment of inventory when needed.

Deliver tools and equipment to designated work areas.

Assist with receiving and general storeroom operations.

Load vending machines and Point-of-Use (POU) areas.

Travel to a second plant location a few times per week using a personal vehicle.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

At least 3 months of relevant warehouse, inventory, storeroom, or material-handling experience and/or training.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal inventory systems.

Ability to read and understand safety rules, work orders, and operating procedures.

Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be punctual, dependable, and reliable.

Experience with inventory cycle counting is preferred.

Previous warehouse, receiving, picking, packing, stocking, or material-handling experience is helpful.

Additional Information

Steel-toe or safety shoes are required.

No forklift operation is required.

The facility does not have air conditioning and may become hot during the summer. Mandated water breaks and large fans are provided.
