Role Purpose

The Strapi Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of content management and digital service platforms using Strapi (Headless CMS). This role ensures that the company's digital channels are secure, scalable, and user-friendly, enabling effective content delivery and seamless integration with internal and external systems. The position directly supports the company’s mission of providing innovative and citizen-centric digital services in line with UAE Vision 2031.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Integration

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and APIs using Strapi Headless CMS.
• Customize Strapi plugins and extend functionality to meet the service requirements.
• Integrate Strapi applications with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and backend services.
• Ensure API-driven content delivery for web, mobile, and other digital platforms.
• Implement and maintain role-based access controls and security policies.

Content Management & Support

• Support business teams in managing, structuring, and publishing content through Strapi.
• Ensure content workflows are aligned with the digital governance standards.
• Provide technical support and resolve issues related to CMS performance and integrations.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability.

Governance & Security

• Adhere to the cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance frameworks.
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with UAE government digital standards.
• Ensure APIs and integrations meet security, privacy, and accessibility requirements.
• Maintain proper system documentation, audit logs, and version control.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with advancements in Strapi, headless CMS technologies, and API-first development.
• Recommend improvements to enhance user experience, accessibility, and performance.
• Contribute to the digital transformation strategy and adoption of modern, scalable platforms.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in headless CMS development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven professional experience as a Strapi Developer or in headless CMS development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• Experience integrating Strapi with frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, data protection, and accessibility standards.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
