Description

You will design and evaluate structural steel systems, equipment supports, mezzanines, and concrete foundations for manufacturing environments. You will support plant-driven initiatives including equipment installations, reinforcements, and facility modifications. You will review and develop construction drawings using AutoCAD and assess existing structures for integrity and safety. You will troubleshoot field issues to provide practical engineering solutions and coordinate with plant teams to align with operational needs. You will partner with external engineering firms when stamped drawings or specialized support is required.

Responsibilities

• Design structural steel systems and concrete foundations for industrial equipment and facilities.
• Review and develop construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assess existing structures and provide guidance on structural integrity and safety concerns.
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide real-time engineering solutions for varied projects.
• Coordinate with external firms for stamped drawings and specialized support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in civil or structural engineering.
• Strong background in structural steel and foundation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and drawing development.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to operate independently and make sound engineering decisions in the field.
• Experience with legacy sites where drawings may be incomplete.

Preferred Skills

• PE license (preferred but not required).
• Exposure to RISA or similar analysis tools.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology (e.g., FARO).
