Description

You will design structural components for commercial and residential projects in Houston, TX.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for wood, steel, and reinforced concrete elements including slabs, footings, and retaining walls.
• Apply national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC to all designs.
• Resolve technical engineering issues and provide guidance to team members.
• Manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing assignments autonomously.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in residential and commercial structural engineering.
• Active State of Texas Structural Engineer License (PE).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and RISA analytical software.
• Strong working knowledge of IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong technical communication and client interface skills.
