Description

You will support new and tenant improvement projects for energy infrastructure across the Bay Area, focusing on structural analysis, design, and detailing for new and existing structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses, design, and detailing for new and existing structures.
• Develop drawings, building information models (BIM), calculations, proposals, and reports.
• Execute construction administration tasks including review and coordination of RFIs, RFPs, submittal logs, bids, and shop drawings.
• Conduct field investigations to record existing conditions and verify measurements within project areas.
• Collaborate with contractors, fabricators, stakeholders, and consultant teams.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering with 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with a structural concentration and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in the design and analysis of steel, concrete, and wood structures.
• Proficiency in industrial structural designs and various structural support systems.
• Working knowledge of building design codes including ASCE, CBC, IBC, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.
• Technical proficiency in Excel, Mathcad, and MATLAB.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using structural analysis software such as SAFE, SAP2000, RISA 3D, or RAM Structural System.
• Experience with retrofit and rehabilitation of existing structures in seismic zones.
• Design experience for support structures handling static and dynamic loads from manufacturing equipment.
