Description

You will manage structural design and technical documentation for commercial and industrial projects in Mobile, AL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex engineering calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
• Review and mark up complex drawings to ensure design constructability.
• Manage project lifecycles including budget development, milestone tracking, and client interaction.
• Perform plan in hand checks and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor associate engineers and designers to ensure work product meets project goals.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a structural engineer in manufacturing or heavy commercial industries.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with 5-10 years of commercial and industrial project experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Excel.
• Deep knowledge of applicable building codes including IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
• Strong ability to perform complex engineering calculations and technical writing.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven experience designing for "Brown Field" projects.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) utilizing Revit.
