Description

Lead structural design and engineering for complex industrial systems and site improvements in Arvada, Colorado.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Engineer reinforced concrete foundations, including spread footings, drilled piers, and helical piles.
• Design simple and complex structures such as pipe supports, pipe racks, platforms, and equipment skids.
• Develop grading, erosion, and sediment control plans for site improvements.
• Provide efficiency reviews and value engineering options for existing designs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to produce integrated design documents and manage project scopes.

Required Skills

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Colorado or Texas, or the ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency with structural engineering software including RISA, STAAD, and MathCAD.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ACI 318, and AISC standards.
• Experience with site grading, BMP utilization, and drainage requirements.
• Competency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and CADWorx.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage project budgets and develop change orders.

Preferred Skills

• 15-20 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage, or chemical manufacturing.
