Description

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with strong IBM Assembler Language Code (ALC), COBOL, Java, and mainframe expertise to support mission-critical IRS Masterfiles applications.
The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, application development, production support, and modernization guidance for large-scale tax processing systems.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and leadership for IRS Masterfiles application development and maintenance.
Develop, enhance, test, and support IBM ALC, COBOL, and Java applications.
Support Individual Master File (IMF) and Business Master File (BMF) processing, including Pre-Posting, Posting amp; Analysis, TDOL, Notices, NCMS, and MIS.
Analyze requirements, develop code, perform unit testing, and maintain technical documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical P1/P2 production incidents.Support batch processing and mainframe applications in IBM z/OS environments.
Work with DB2, SQL, JCL, Endevor, TSO/ISPF, File Manager, and RTC/JIRA.
Recommend technical improvements, automation, and architectural solutions.
Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and Agile coaching.
Participate in system testing, production releases, and application monitoring.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on IBM ALC programming experience.
Experience with DB2, SQL, JCL, and mainframe batch processing.
Experience with IRS processing systems.
Strong application troubleshooting and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Security Requirements Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card holder for at least three years).
Must be Federal Tax compliant.Must meet requirements to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
Active Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus
