Description

Drive supplier quality improvements and corrective actions for sourced components.

Responsibilities

• Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Monitor supplier performance to address manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
• Analyze incoming material defects, disposition them, and communicate issues directly to suppliers.
• Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures; train inspectors on these protocols.
• Investigate field failures related to supplier materials and develop corrective action plans.

Required Skills

• Experience with CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience managing Supplier Performance and Supplier Quality.
• Background in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to generate test protocols, monitor testing, and issue qualification test reports.
• Experience developing acceptance criteria for materials and sourcing inspection tools.
• Ability to lead project teams of moderate scope and provide guidance to junior staff.

Education and Experience

• BS degree in engineering or a related scientific field with 5-8 years of related experience.
• Or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Medical Device industry experience.
