Description

Act as the technical liaison between purchasing, product engineering, internal manufacturing, and external suppliers for body, exterior, and lighting components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assure supplier compliance with APQP processes and manage PPAP submission and approval requirements.
• Review and approve supplier quality plans for new component parts and assemblies across vehicle and powertrain programs.
• Determine root causes of supplier manufacturing problems and implement timely, effective quality resolutions.
• Improve supplier quality performance by conducting onsite workshops and providing technical system development support.
• Provide technical assistance during supplier launch, change-over, and ongoing production activities.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in automotive quality and manufacturing functions.
• Strong knowledge of SQMS, including APQP and PPAP.
• Proficiency in statistical problem solving using Red X, DFSS, and DMAIC.
• Ability to perform print reading, part measurement, gage design, and GD&T.
• K knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Quality processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (daily and overnight combined).
