Description

You will provide application support for complex microservices and cloud-based batch platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and adapt monitoring and alerting systems using GCP and PagerDuty.
• Identify single points of failure and propose architectural resolutions to increase resilience.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and runbooks for maintenance and remediation.
• Investigate root causes of severe outages and implement corrective actions.
• Provide impact assessments and mitigation plans for production environment changes.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience working with GCP.
• 2 years of experience troubleshooting Java EE applications.
• Experience with PostGreSQL databases and SQL debugging.
• 1+ years of experience in Agile SDLC (CI/CD) supporting Java/Javascript UI applications (JQuery).
• Proficiency in Java, Javascript, and JQuery.
• Ability to script repeatable tasks using Bash.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, load balancers, and high availability architecture.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a STEM major.

Preferred Skills

• GCP Cloud certification.
• Hands-on programming knowledge in application development or scripting.
