Description

You will act as a support engineer focused on debugging, defect triaging, code fixes, testing, and deployment within a distributed systems environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage, debug, and fix defects within web-based applications.
• Test and deploy code updates using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
• Monitor, log, and trace system behavior using open source technologies.
• Define and articulate non-functional requirements (NFRs) for product-based development.
• Apply performance engineering and web security best practices to existing codebases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or support.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience with nHibernate, Entity Framework, and RESTful applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Experience implementing messaging queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and cloud patterns.
• Experience working within Agile software engineering methodologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity 3 days a week in San Antonio, TX.
