Description

Own end-to-end MCAD user support, service reliability, and operational delivery for engineering applications and virtual desktop environments. Act as the technical interface between users, infrastructure teams, application vendors, and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational support for VMware/Omnissa Horizon (Windows & macOS), ensuring performance, stability, and user experience.
  • Oversee deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management of MCAD and simulation applications including Siemens NX and Ansys.
  • Manage user accounts, entitlements, licenses, and SMB/CIFS file share access across platforms.
  • Coordinate HPC cluster access, job execution issues, license usage, and capacity constraints with infrastructure teams.
  • Own and improve automated onboarding workflows; debug and resolve automation failures.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon / Omnissa Horizon Client.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Application deployment and software management.
  • HPC Cluster Administration.
  • Troubleshooting SMB/CIFS network share access and managing mapped drives.
  • Networking and VPN diagnosis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

  • FEA & Simulation software knowledge such as Ansys products: Mechanical, Maxwell, HFSS, EDT, OpticStudio/Zemax, Additive Suite, EMC Plus.
  • Troubleshooting macOS-specific Horizon/Omnissa client issues.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
