Roles & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to product and system specifications in collaboration with product designers and system engineers
• Define software requirement specifications including functional, operational, interface, performance, safety, cybersecurity, and RAM constraints
• Ensure software requirements are traceable, testable, and verifiable throughout the development lifecycle
• Design and define software architecture including component breakdown, interface definitions, and dynamic behavior modeling
• Allocate system requirements across software components and ensure alignment with architectural standards
• Select development tools, methodologies, programming languages, and coding standards based on organizational processes
• Contribute to the selection of execution environments including processors, operating systems, middleware, and basic software
• Validate and arbitrate major software design and architectural decisions
• Support software/software and hardware/software integration activities
• Define and execute testing and verification activities for software deliverables
• Drive software reusability, standardization, and reusable solution development including COTS integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure robust, secure, and reliable embedded system solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on software architecture and cybersecurity best practices

Experience Required:

• 12 to 16 years of experience in Embedded Software Development and Software Architecture
• Strong expertise in Embedded C++, Linux, and Cybersecurity concepts
• Experience in software architecture design, requirement engineering, and system integration
• Good understanding of RTOS, middleware, and embedded execution environments
• Experience with UML, software modeling, and verification/validation processes
• Strong knowledge of software lifecycle, coding standards, and integration methodologies
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
