Description

You will manage mission-critical Sybase ASE databases and supporting infrastructure in a 24/7/365 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage databases across Linux and Windows platforms.
• Monitor daily performance for production and development environments.
• Support infrastructure changes impacting database environments.
• Execute high availability, clustering, replication, and SOX-compliant security designs.
• Handle day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance tasks.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience managing Sybase ASE.
• 3-5 years of experience as a DBA in large, challenging database environments.
• 2-4 years of experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience working with enterprise-level systems.
• Ability to work a Wednesday-Saturday shift (2PM EST - 12AM EST).
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 shift rotations.
• BA/BS degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jira, Remedy, Confluence, and Big Panda.
