Description

You will manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of Sybase database environments to ensure high availability and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage database infrastructure including installation, monitoring, and software maintenance.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Sybase clusters and failover/hot standby configurations.
• Configure and architect Enterprise Failover Manager or similar technologies for maximum availability.
• Execute system and SQL performance tuning to optimize database efficiency.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design, changes, and application enhancements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with Sybase open source.
• Strong proficiency in UNIX and Linux environments.
• Advanced Shell Scripting skills for automation and monitoring.
• Experience providing L1, L2, and L3 production support.
• Practical knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Experience building high-scalable clusters and HA/DR solutions.
• Ability to implement monitoring and alerting systems.
